Tomba’s Coffee
A passion for coffee that started in Italy
My passion for coffee began when I was very young, growing up in Italy.
At weekends, I would spend time at the back of the coffee machine in my parents’ restaurant and coffee bar. I was fascinated by the whole ritual of Italian coffee — the aroma of freshly ground beans, the sound of the espresso machine, the skill of the person behind the bar and, of course, the enjoyment of a properly made espresso.
I didn’t know it at the time, but those early experiences would become the foundation of a career that has now spanned more than 30 years.
While I was still studying, I opened my first coffee shop in the UK. This gave me the opportunity to experience coffee not only as a consumer, but as a professional — understanding the importance of quality, consistency, equipment, preparation and, most importantly, the relationship between coffee and the customer.
From the coffee bar to the coffee plantation
Over the years, my curiosity about coffee took me much further than the coffee shop.
Whenever my travels took me to coffee-growing regions, I would make a point of visiting plantations and learning more about where the beans came from and how they were grown and processed.
From East Africa and India to the Caribbean, Central and South America and even Polynesia, I have always looked for opportunities to explore the local coffee culture and discover exceptional beans.
For me, great coffee starts at its origin.
Understanding the environment in which coffee is grown, the variety of the coffee, the processing method and the people behind it all helps us make better decisions when selecting the coffees we roast.
30 years of experience
Today, I work as a Coffee and Gelato Consultant with more than 30 years of experience in the sector.
I have particular experience helping start-ups and established businesses in the coffee, specialty coffee and gelato industries — from choosing the right products and equipment to developing menus and creating a complete offer for their customers.
Tomba’s Coffee is a natural extension of that experience.
We don’t see ourselves simply as a coffee supplier. We want to help our customers choose, prepare and serve better coffee, while finding products that genuinely suit their business.
Our Coffee
At Tomba’s Coffee, we offer a carefully selected range of premium specialty coffees, espresso blends, single origins and decaffeinated coffee.
Our specialty coffees are selected to meet a high standard, with specialty-grade coffees scoring 82+.
Where possible, we focus on freshness and quality throughout the process. Our coffee is roasted in small batches, allowing us greater control over the roasting process and stock rotation.
Our beans are roasted slowly to their optimum roasting curve and then prepared and packed by hand. This attention to detail helps us maintain the quality and freshness of the coffee from roasting through to the customer.
We believe that great coffee is not simply about the bean. It is about the combination of origin, processing, roasting, freshness and preparation.

Our range extends beyond coffee and tea to provide a broader drinks solution for professional customers.
We supply Simply Syrups, hot chocolate and a selection of complementary products for cafés, gelaterias, restaurants and hospitality businesses.
We also offer Babbi Luxury Italian Hot Chocolate, bringing the same Italian tradition and attention to quality that sits at the heart of our gelato ingredients.
Through Artigelato, customers can therefore find many of the products they need to create a complete drinks and dessert offering — from premium coffee and specialty tea to hot chocolate, syrups, gelato ingredients and more.
Coffee, Gelato & Hospitality
Coffee and gelato have always been natural partners.
An Italian espresso after a meal, a cappuccino with a pastry or an espresso poured over a scoop of vanilla gelato to create an affogato are all part of the Italian café tradition.
With more than 30 years of experience across both coffee and gelato, we understand how the two can work together to create a stronger offer for cafés, gelaterias, restaurants and other hospitality businesses.
Our aim is simple:
To bring the experience, knowledge and passion of Italian coffee together with the needs of today’s professional hospitality business.
From the coffee plantation to the roasting process, from the espresso machine to the finished cup — we care about every stage of the journey.
